Takin’ It to the Street – Outdoor Dinner Event

For over 50 years, the Courtenay & District Museum & Palaeontology Centre has been keen about the natural and cultural heritage of the breathtaking Comox Valley, located on the shores of the Strait of Georgia offering up award winning natural and cultural history, academic research, interpretation, and preservation.  Wander through this evening and find out why the Comox Valley – past and present, is one of the most plentiful places on earth. Take a fossil tour and travel 80 million years back in time; browse the galleries to delve into the stories that make our history come alive.

The historic Native Sons Hall is the largest free span log building in BC. Built in 1928 as Courtenay’s original Recreation Centre, it was upgraded and restored to its former glory in 2010 by the City of Courtenay, it is once again available to the community as an ideal and unique venue.

Following a full day of connection, join us outside for a street party under the BIG Tent. Wander through the award winning Courtenay and District Museum and Palaeontology Centre, taste some local brewery offerings, and watch and listen as street performers and live music provide an entertaining backdrop for an evening full of fun.
