Explore Courtenay on foot…
Take a stroll through Courtenay’s downtown! Visit local shops, view historical murals, and enjoy the outdoors. Walk at your own pace, browsing the charming shops in the downtown core. Check out the latest exhibits and installations at the Comox Valley Art Gallery, and view large murals depicting historical life in Courtenay throughout the tour. As you meander along the Courtenay River towards the marina, keep your eyes open for the resident wildlife – eagles, salmon, and seals can often be seen. An extended walk takes you around the Courtenay Airpark where you can watch planes taking off and landing over the Courtenay Estuary. After discovering some of the highlights and history of Courtenay, the walk returns to your hotel or conference location.

Start & End: Guests of the Old House Hotel, Best Western, and Holiday Inn Express can start the tour on the Riverway Trail, steps from the hotel. Other participants can begin the tour at any of these conference facilities: Filberg Centre, Sid Williams Theatre, or Native Sons Hall.
