Rogers is leveraging its history of innovation and connecting people with an exciting new initiative called Smart Community. Smart Community is a national shared services platform with the purpose of increasing citizen engagement within and between public sector entities, and creating a data sovereign cloud platform supporting improved service delivery, smart cities and identity management.
This initiative is directed at helping municipalities with some of their key challenges: doing more with less, community engagement, delivering integrated services, reducing cost, outsourcing non-core capabilities, attracting business and embracing the digital economy. This platform facilitates people collaborating using cloud-based technology which drives innovation.
Rogers is pleased to introduce this initiative to MISA BC with the intent to explain why were doing this, how it can be leveraged for value and to request member participation in shaping our future direction.
